It’s autumn season and you know what that means! Apples and pumpkin spice, and everything nice–all those warm and toasty flavors as you snuggle up from the beginning of an outside chill. Fall means cozy recipes, and here I have a roundup of my absolute favorite recipes. Everything from Thanksgiving pies, to warm and comforting soups, to cookies that look like festive candy corn. Check out all the great fall recipes below!

1. punchy apple cider doughnuts;

What better way to celebrate classic fall recipes and your favorite flavors than with apple cider doughnuts? 2. broccoli cheddar soup;

When you put together a list of fall recipes, there has to be soup. Soups are so cozy and warm and comforting. My go-to soup is homemade broccoli cheddar soup. What I love about making it myself is that I can keep the broccoli and carrots large and chunky. Of course, if you prefer, you can blend it up smooth, but I like a little extra chunk to my veggies.

Bonus tip: make these sour cream and chive onion biscuits to go alongside your broccoli cheddar soup. They pair perfectly, and you always need some sort of bread to sop up the delicious soup.

3. apple butter three ways;

Apples are a fall staple, and what better way to serve apples then stewed up with spice and sugar? No better way, that’s the answer! Make your own homemade slow cooker apple butter for use in other recipes, or just smear it on a slice of bread. Or eat it out of the jar, no judgment here!

But if you make a big batch and are looking for some variety, check out this apple butter tart. Think pumpkin pie, but apple-y instead of pumpkin! A delicious apple custard in a flaky crust is a fun new addition to your Thanksgiving table. Or opt for three-ingredient no bake apple butter truffles. You know that if there’s a delicious flavor, I’ll be sure to find a way to coat it in chocolate!

6. candy corn cookies;

I love these candy corn cookies. Adorable cookies in the shape of candy corn, but made with fresh, delicious flavors. With a hint of orange zest, these sugar cookies have a beautiful flavor across all three candy corn colors. These cookies are small and poppable–which makes them dangerous. It’s easy to eat two, or four, or eight. These are definitely a must for your fall recipes!

8. maple shortbread cookies;

Two-inch maple leaf cookies are packed full of maple flavor and buttery soft crumble and then melt-in-your-mouth cookies. Drooling yet? I love decorating these with various chocolate drizzles and dips, and then topping with some golden fall sprinkles.

The maple leaf cookie cutter I use is actually a pie crust cutter form, but it makes for adorable cookies. This isn’t the exact set I use, but its close since I bought mine years ago at sur la table. The best part is you can just use it as a cookie cutter, or you can press the imprint form into the cookies for an extra variation.

15. pecan streusel apple pie;

The inspiration for this pie came from a local VA apple festival where I actually won a raffle for this pie! It was sooooo good that I just needed more of it in my life (and preferred it with a gluten free pie crust). Thus, my homemade pecan streusel apple pie recipe was born!

With toasty, roasty pecans, a sweet oat crumble, and sweet cinnamon apple pie filling, every bite is so satisfying. With different textures, flavors, and deliciousness in every forkful, I promise it won’t disappoint.

16. pulled pork mac ‘n cheese;

For another fall dinner recipe, bbq pulled pork mac and cheese is just comfort in a bowl. If there was ever a picture next to comfort food in the dictionary, this would be it. Rich and creamy homemade macaroni and cheese mixed with tender pulled pork and drizzled with your favorite barbecue sauce. It’s a meal and side dish all in one!

17. pecan pie muffins;

Another breakfast classic, pecan pie muffins are everything you love about pecan pie but without excess goop. (Goop being sugary corn syrup.). Don’t get me wrong, no shade on a classic pecan pie, but I like to pretend I’m eating slightly less sugar for breakfast—and these pecan pie muffins are it.

I include two options for glaze flavors: the classic maple icing or go with a bright orange glaze that complements the toasted pecans. Bonus, it’s easy to make these gluten free with just a flour swap.

These cute little bite-sized treats are all dolled up to look like pumpkins, complete with vines and candy leaves. Made from pumpkin spice bread, you can make your own, or use storebought. You can also use leftover pumpkin spice muffins as an alternative.

It takes a little bit of elbow grease to create the illusion of individual pumpkins, but you can see just how cute these truffles are! When you want to impress, pumpkin patch pumpkin spice truffles are the way to go.
