Last week was one heck of a stressful week. I’m sure everyone can agree. But I don’t want to talk politics…I want to declare this week…COPYCAT WEEK! Bum, bum bum! No, you’re not allowed to just repeat what I say–repeat what I say. I mean Restaurant copycat week. I’m going to share some of my favorite, make-at-home restaurant recipes. I won’t spoil the surprise, but the three recipes I have planned to shareare from the following: Olive Garden, Cheesecake Factory, and Panera! I’ll leave you to guess exactly which recipes for the other two. But this Stuffed Chicken Marsala is…

I’ll be honest, I don’t usually get excited about vegetarian recipes. No offense to any vegetarians! I just grew up in a household where my mom had the plate: protein main dish, side dish, vegetable. Pretty much every night. So while the vegetables were fine, and sometimes we got my mom’s amazing garlic bread, or “tha saw tha” (which was basically rice with scrambled eggs), it was always the protein that was the main focus! So when I saw this date night mushroom pasta with goat cheese over at Pinch of Yum and went “ooh, yum,” I knew I should try it!…

Happy Tyler-and-my-sister’s birthday! (Yes, they have the same birthday: November 5th!) I think these doughnuts are Tyler’s favorite thing of all time and it’s been three years since I’ve come into his life with full fattening potential. I like these doughnuts, but honestly if it was me personally, they’d be a touch too much work for something that doesn’t have chocolate. They’re only too much work because I always think that I can cut up strawberries while they’re baking for the first two minutes. DON’T DO THAT. I’ve tried. It takes way longer to dice up strawberries than you think.…

Onto the third recipe in my series of mini cheesecakes! I’ve really been on a dessert kick…with these four recipes, Monday as and before that cookie dough icing brownies and reverse strawberry shortcake. I hope I’m helping to fatten you up for the cold winter ahead! But first we gotta get through fall. I say “get through” as if fall isn’t my favorite season! Autumn leaves, crisp sweater weather, walks with the pup, and all those fall recipes…what’s not to love? Actually it’s good that I mentioned the reverse strawberry shortcake, because here’s the perfect suggestion! Leftover strawberry soup from the reverse strawberry…

I just love the idea of a cheesecake base that’s adaptable to so many different flavors! Here’s the third in my four part series, because who doesn’t love cookies and creme??? It really could be called oreo cheesecake as well, but cookies and creme now reminds me of one of my all-time popular recipes: cookies and creme cookies! So of course we need it in cheesecake form! I think, if you had to ask me, my two favorites out of the four were this one and the dulche de leche one. (Shhhh, don’t tell the others.) That said, Tyler’s by far was the…

Cheesecake, cheesecake, everybody try some yums! You probably don’t get the singsong voice via reading text, but it’s going through my head right now. These cheesecakes have been a long-time coming actually. I was debating about what size springform pans I should invest in for several days, and then once I got the pans, I haven’t been able to find an ingredient or two at the grocery…and I just really want cheesecake! Cheesecake has been at the tip of my tongue for like a week now. So look out for the not 1, not 2, not 3, but FOUR parts…

These cinnamon puff sticks are a cute and extremely simple adornment to any dessert! For example, they make a cute addition to my previous reverse strawberry shortcake post! Or if you’re like me you’ll just want to snack on them straight out of the oven. They definitely have that extra bit of luxury when they’re warm and flaky and just–mmmm! I actually make these a lot whenever I have leftover puff pastry from other recipes, like salmon en croute (coming soon), and these are extremely similar to the churro cookies recipe I shared earlier. Just without the filling, and in stick form instead of circles!…

Take an easy boxed brownie and spruce it up to make these amazing cookie dough icing brownies. Of course, you can make your own brownie recipe too, but the real star here is the cookie dough icing!

These little pillow puffs are deeelicious! But they do take a long time! For those of you who have ever tried to make gnocchi before, I’ll bet you already know this. But somehow I always manage to forget, especially because the ingredient list is so minimal, I think they’re a breeze to make! But when you boil them in multiple batches, and run out of space on your cutting board to continue rolling and cutting them up, it gets a little tedious and you remember just how long they take to make. So these bad boys will take you close to an…

This recipe for Beef Kofta is another hello fresh recipe. I got another coupon in my e-mail, and with my life being ever-crazy, I figured it would be nice to skip the grocery shopping and have meals already planned! So far I’ve tried hello fresh and blue apron by way of the food services. I’ll sum up: both are good and convenient. A little expensive for my taste, except when I get coupons in which case it’s a wonderful deal. If you want to read more in-depth, check out my detailed comparison post of both: huevos rancheros quesadillas. This recipe kinda followed the pattern with…

This past weekend was our annual trip to Bloomsburg Fair! For those of you wondering what’s so cool about the Bloomsburg fair and why it’s an annual trip, let me explain. My sister went to Lafayette college in PA, and I went to Bucknell university, also in PA. One of her friends grew up in Bloomsburg, and so they started going every year with their group of college friends. Once I got to college, they invited me along, and so I try to join them every year now! It’s a blast. I don’t know that it’s the biggest fair, or…
