a pair of Wicked cocktails;

With Part 2 of the Wicked movie coming out, I of course needed to make these Wicked cocktails! Fairy pink, inspired by Glinda, and witchy green for Elphie. Glinda’s cocktail is a sweet raspberry-lemonade inspired cocktail, while Elphie’s is a tart and sour appletini-inspired cocktail. I also give alternative mocktail options if you prefer to leave the booze out of it. The best part about these Wicked cocktails? They sparkle!

The sparkles come from edible glitter, which I purchased on Amazon in bright pink and bright green. I’ve actually made my own golden glitter syrup before for my Felix Felicis liquid luck cocktail, inspired by Harry Potter. So if you can find the appropriate glittery sprinkles in pink and green, you can even make the swirly potion colors yourself!
Edible glitter works great, but you can even make your own glitter syrup with the right sprinkles!

However, I’m in the mom-to-a-toddler phase of my life, which means not much time, and the easily purchased green glitter and pink glitter worked great! It does enhance the brightness of both the pink and green natural colors of the drink. So you really get that bright pop of color to make these Wicked cocktails stand out!

Even though you can’t taste the flavors through the screen, I also love the contrast of flavors in each of the cocktails. What you can’t tell from the pictures is that Glinda’s pink potion is sweet (of course), but Elphie’s is a tart green appletini. These cocktails really pair wonderfully together. Both fruity, but the contrasting tastes are fun and represent the characters so well! Although, if you’d like to nerd out with me, I don’t think Elphie’s tartness really reflects her personality, only the Wizard and muchkinland perception of her.

Secret to success
For the Elphaba-inspired cocktail in our pair of Wicked cocktails, we make a quick and dirty appletini with a hint of lime. Quick and simple is what we’re going for. The sour apple flavor comes from dekyuper sour apple liquor, and you mix that with some margarita mix (or sour mix if you prefer) and some fresh lime juice for brightness. And then of course, don’t forget the green glitter!
If you’re looking to make Elphie’s potion a mocktail, then you will need some alternate ingredients. To make a virgin appletini-like cocktail, you’ll need apple juice, sour green apple syrup, and lime juice. Of course you’ll still want that green edible glitter too, to get the sparkly potion effect!

For the Glinda-inspired Wicked cocktails, we make an extra-sweet strawberry lemonade. If you thought the Elphie-inspired cocktail was easy, well this one beats it with only 3 ingredients! Of course we’re not repping Galinda here since of course OG Galinda would want something excessively complicated. If you want to up the stakes even more; try topping with cotton candy and a light dusting of glitter over the top!
To up the over-the-top GA-linda vibes, top your pink Wicked-inspired cocktail with pink cotton candy and sprinkle with glitter! It will dissolve quickly though.
Secret to success

But if you thought Elphie’s cocktail was simple enough, wait until you see the ingredients for Glinda’s. To make pink Wicked cocktails, you only need raspberry lemonade and whipped cream vodka. Plus, of course, the edible glitter. I use Pinnacle vodka for sweet-flavored vodka. I’ve used others like birthday cake before, which work perfectly fine, but I find the whipped cream the most versatile. It adds sweetness without other flavors.
Even though Glinda’s strawberry lemonade cocktail is supposed to be sweet, I do like a little nip of tartness in my lemonade. Especially as we’re adding the whipped cream vodka for extra sweetness. Not sponsored, but I really enjoyed the Tropicana lemonade I used here. It’s refreshingly tart, just enough to keep the sweetness from running away with the show. Some brands can be too sweet for me.
To make a virgin mocktail, just drop the whipped cream vodka. So a measly two ingredients gets you a sparkly pink drink that’s fun and delicious to drink!
So which is your favorite of the Wicked cocktails? Elphie’s or Glinda’s? I guess you’ll just need to make both and watch the Wicked Pt. 2 movie and let me know in the comments!
