Delicious homemade fried chicken nuggets on mini waffles! These savory little bites are perfect topped with maple syrup for a little extra kick of sweet! – – Umg, these are the best things ever! They were a major hit at our Superbowl party! They do require some work, but I promise you they’re worth it! The chicken nugget recipe I used was adapted from Stephanie’s copy-cat chick-fil-a recipe at Stockpiling Moms. I actually happened to not have milk in my fridge, but luckily I keep buttermilk powder in my fridge as a backup, and it worked wonderfully in this recipe. I…

Maple bacon is one of those trendy flavors right now and I have to say I don’t hate it. I’ve never been a huge maple person, especially next to say, my sister who could eat maple candies until the trees came home–that is to say, forever. Though she is particular about authenticity. I basically just adapted my tomato onion jam (recipe made for the juicy lucy burger) to use bacon instead of tomatoes, and use maple syrup in addition to some water. It’s pretty simple, and was a hit at our New Year’s Eve party! They went on Brunch Burger Bombs, recipe…

Let me just start this off answering the question on everyone’s mind–yes, this recipe is everything you want it to be! Another adventure stemming from my coworkers, though this time from a birthday rather than fresh-from-the-garden produce like baked jalapeño poppers. Since I like cooking and baking (whaaaat), a coworker’s birthday is always the perfect excuse to try out a new recipe! I do ask for a category or a few examples of what they like so that I have a starting place. How bad would everyone feel if I made something the birthday guy/gal didn’t like? That’s awkward for everyone. So…
