Cheesy, buttery, garlic bread wrapped around steak and caramelized onions, topped with an over-easy egg, perfect for sopping up for that extra decadence! – – If you’re looking for healthful recipes, just look away now. Other than the Apple French Toast, and the Egg Casserole that my friends brought to our New Year’s Eve party, I think these brunch burger bombs were the star of the show! They came about as I was trying to think of the menu, and wanted something a little more “lunchy” to brunch. The result? Little pillows of pilsbury biscuit dough stuffed with maple bacon jam, cheese and burger sliders! Now normally for a brunch burger I’d say that it’d need to have at least some sort of egg in it, but (1) we were having egg casserole separately already,…

So I’ve seen recipes for “cauliflower” substitute everything recently on pinterest (click for my tipsychocochip board on pinterest!), and to be honest I’ve been fairly skeptical. But I have been trying to eat healthier lately and I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich, so I figured if I was going to stoop, maybe I’d try the cauliflower bread. So let me tell you about this past weekend! I know we’re almost at this weekend, but I’m about to travel up to my parents for the weekend, and last weekend was a ton of fun! Note: Permanently closed, as of October 16, 2016 So this Sunday I finally got to try brunch at what I lovingly have dubbed “el fuegos” since Fuego Cocina y Tequileria is a bit of a mouthful. Especially after two margaritas and the tipsy has kicked in. And you might be scoffing at me–hah, two margaritas!–but let me tell you, their frozen margaritas (henceforth margs) typically have three shots of tequila in them and couple that with the salt and the amazing taste, and you’ve got yourself a tipsy brunch. We started off with a round of apps: queso fondido, guacamole,…

This breakfast crescent ring is yumm-ee! It does take a little bit of effort rather early in the morning I’ll admit, with all the different pieces that go together. But it was tasty, that’s for sure! Actually it was tastier than I even expected, but I’m glad it was since it took a little more effort than expected at first glance. The one thing to do next time to make it look even better would be to make the ring a little smaller so that there isn’t quite as large of a hole in the middle. I think that would make…
