peanut butter chip chocolate cookies;
One of my coworkers discovered this recipe over at Sally’s Baking Addiction, and I was hooked! Which was surprising to me, as I don’t normally reach for the peanut butter option at a table. But I tried one because I was craving something sweet at work that day, and ended up scarfing down like four myself. They were so addicting! So of course I had to ask her for the recipe and share it with all of you!
While I haven’t done a full tour of all possible brands of peanut butter chips, my personal go-to is the Reese’s brand. The store I went to this time around didn’t have other options, but I was pretty surprised by how much was impressed with the Reese’s baking chips. I think they’re creamier than some others, and definitely reminiscent of Reese’s pieces. Speaking of which how do you pronounce “Reese’s pieces”? It’s an ongoing debate in our family…”ree-see’s” vs. “ree-sis'”. But at the end of the day who cares–these cookies are delicious! That’s what I care about~
Sure, this isn’t the healthiest recipe, but you need to live it up sometimes right? I ended up making these for our trip out to Ohio to visit with my sister and her boyfriend. Her boyfriend happens to L-O-V-E peanut butter, and my sister is truly a part of our Chocolate-loving family, so I thought this was the perfect mix of both of them! They went over well so far as I can tell, in that I came home with an empty container!
