crispy baked fries;
Here’s the twin to my previously posted recipe, jalapeno cheddar stuffed burgers, though they’d go great with honey mustard pretzel chicken tenders, or a chicken pesto burger. So many possibilities!
But I will say these fries are a wonderful side. They’re not particularly work-intensive, but give you some fries in your own home. I will be the first to admit that these are not a replacement for those triple-fried grease bombs that are your normal delicious french fries, but they’re a nice alternative with a tasty spice rub that you can make in your own home.
You of course could mix up the spice rub, but I like this one pretty well. One of the few changes I’ve made from the original recipe from Layers of Happiness is to more than halve the salt. I also upped the cumin because cumin is one of my personal favorite spices. The first time I made this I used all the salt and almost couldn’t bear them without a load of ketchup (so sad, I know). So I made these again yesterday to go with jalapeno cheddar stuffed burgers, and halved the salt and I found it a great balance! I also didn’t quite use all of the mix but ended up throwing it into the burgers as seasoning.
