Typical burgers with a french onion soup twist! French onion mix added to the burger, and topped with a heap of caramelized onions and melty gooey mozzarella cheese, all on a toasty potato bun! – – These burgers are a definite must make again! Considering there are only a few more steps than making a plain burger, they were amazingly delicious! Now I use this pre-boxed lipton french onion soup mix (affiliate link), so it’s not entire “from scratch”. But it definitely saves some work, although if you’re a “from scratch” fan, I guarantee you can find a copycat recipe on pinterest!…

Nikuman (肉饅), literally “steamed bun with meat filling”. It’s a savory pork filling tossed with cabbage, scallions, soy sauce, and seasonings wrapped in a fluffy steamed bun! – – I’m going on an Asian kick! I made it to the asian grocery store this weekend, and have many yummy things coming your way! Check out the updated photos for pad see ew, sweet stir fried noodles tossed with chicken, bean sprouts, and baby bok choy! But these nikuman are pretty amazing, if I do say so myself. They really hit the spot for me this weekend! Tasty, savory, and fluffy–all…

Cheesy, buttery, garlic bread wrapped around steak and caramelized onions, topped with an over-easy egg, perfect for sopping up for that extra decadence! – – If you’re looking for healthful recipes, just look away now. Go look at my mediterranean dip, or marinated kabobs, or the plethora of roasted veggie ideas on this blog. DON’T keep reading. Diets have been broken by this recipe. Meaning mine. For all of you still here, I’ll bet you’re asking: what is in a steak decadence sandwich??? Well, I’m here to answer that great question! It’s French bread cheesy cheddar garlic bread, stuffed with…

Other than the Apple French Toast, and the Egg Casserole that my friends brought to our New Year’s Eve party, I think these brunch burger bombs were the star of the show! They came about as I was trying to think of the menu, and wanted something a little more “lunchy” to brunch. The result? Little pillows of pilsbury biscuit dough stuffed with maple bacon jam, cheese and burger sliders! Now normally for a brunch burger I’d say that it’d need to have at least some sort of egg in it, but (1) we were having egg casserole separately already,…

What is soup without a sandwich? Or a sandwich without soup? Inconthevable! (Anyone? Princess Bride, yo.) So of course I had to give you a bonus weekend post for all that yummy broccoli cheddar soup you’re planning to make, right? We’ve had some apples lying about, and somehow pairing them with ham sounded good. I’m not sure why, but I can attest that it was mighty delicious. And super easy to make. I decided to top mine with tomatoes, which I really enjoyed as well, but I leave them off for Tyler since he pretty much hates them in their entirety.…

This recipe for Beef Kofta is another hello fresh recipe. I got another coupon in my e-mail, and with my life being ever-crazy, I figured it would be nice to skip the grocery shopping and have meals already planned! So far I’ve tried hello fresh and blue apron by way of the food services. I’ll sum up: both are good and convenient. A little expensive for my taste, except when I get coupons in which case it’s a wonderful deal. If you want to read more in-depth, check out my detailed comparison post of both: huevos rancheros quesadillas. This recipe kinda followed the pattern with…

Happy Labor Day! Did you think I was gonna leave you hanging? Nope, this time I’m posting a down and dirty meal that you can enjoy when you’re crunched for time, and kids are sure to love because there are tater tots! This recipe I learned from one of my coworkers–from Minnesota! We were really confused at lunch one day as to what he was eating, and apparently this is a pretty common staple up there where as I (being a Yankee originally) had never in my life heard of it. So that prompted a discussion of what is tater…

Bonus post: here’s another gourmet burger to add to your repertoire! Keep this one in mind alongside jalapeno cheddar stuffed burgers, or the juicy lucy burger. With these three burgers on your menu, you’re sure to impress! This is definitely a different twist on a classic burger, but really the main difference is the ground lamb. Everything else I typically have in my pantry. Make sure that you don’t over-mix the lamb, because you won’t want it to be tough. We served this with garlic butter roasted carrots and actually used what was left of the garlic butter in the…

Look familiar? I’ll give you a hint: I reviewed a dish quite like this last week from Kona Grill! Here’s my homemade take! The one bite I stole from one of my fellow bridesmaids K at the bachelorette dinner last weekend was so good I was still craving it two days later! So I tried to kinda make something up as I went. This was still quite tasty, and delicious, though of course not exactly the same. Definitely a keeper though! Pesto cream sauce with sausage medallions tossed with some spaghetti or linguine. Hope you enjoy! You’ll notice in this photo…
