bailey’s chocolate mousse;
A light and silky irish cream mousse with a finesse of chocolate! Perfect for a light treat on a hot summer evening~
– –
I needed to get back to my roots, and this is what this recipe does! Chocolate? Check. Tipsy? Check. Delicious? Check. I dare you to disagree! This recipe is definitely a little heavy on the irish cream flavor over the chocolate, but as I noted on the recipe card, you can always add more cocoa powder!
This recipe is about as simple as you can get! All you need are 4 ingredients, a hand or stand mixer, and you can whip this silky smooth baby up in no time. A traditional mousse will have more ingredients and typically fold melted chocolate into whipped cream, and typically be a little more firm. Whereas this recipe takes that and lightens it up, with fewer ingredients, and far less work. But that means a quicker prep-to-eating time too!
Like I said, keep this recipe in your back pocket for those hot summer nights! A light, cold mousse is perfect for last minute guests, or just to indulge in an evening to yourself.
