white chocolate bunny butts;
We’re still living through this quarantine life, so make like a bunny and burrow! Burrow into sugar and deliciousness without leaving your home. These cute little bunnies butts made me chuckle as I was putting them together, so I knew I wanted to share the amusement. They’re perfect for Easter, if you celebrate it, or perfect for a spring themed party or just because!
I coated these little guys with white chocolate, but after I finished, I thought to myself that I should have done a variety of white, dark, and milk! I am definitely a dark chocolate person, and find white chocolate to be too sweet a lot of the time. So I think I would have enjoyed these even more as dark chocolate! But the white chocolate is still tasty, I can just eat fewer of them because I get overwhelmed with sweetness. Which is probably not a bad thing, when you’re stuck in side all day with a passion for baking and surrounded by baked treats. Built in limiting isn’t half bad.
These would be fun to do with children if they’re old enough, but expect to get messy! Tearing apart marshmallows = sticky fingers, dipping anything in chocolate = chocolate everywhere, and the paws take some patience to do. If you don’t want to use tinted chocolate, you could probably grab a paint brush, thin out a drop of food coloring and just paint it on. I did the pink chocolate because it was easy and I didn’t feel like dredging up a paint brush. Instead I just used a toothpick which was a little unwieldy but got the job done.
Let me know if you decide to make these for your family this weekend! A fun addition to coloring eggs if you do that for Easter weekend, or another quick, easy recipe to throw in your basket next time you go to the grocery store! I do love me some quick and easy recipes.
