Cacio e pepe literally means “cheese and pepper” in Italian. This simple pasta dish lets the ingredients shine–beautifully al dente pasta, sharp pecorino romano, and the peppery forwardness of, well, pepper.

Buttery, garlic shrimp over a bed of buttery garlic pasta! And this is even a fairly simple recipe! Perfect for when you need to throw together a meal for the family when you’re prepping and running around to New Year’s parties! I’d been craving shrimp scampi for some reason recently, so when I snagged some shrimp at the grocery this was my go-to! Usually, I don’t think of shrimp scampi as being spicy, but that little hint of a kick from the red pepper flakes was kinda cool in this recipe! If spice isn’t your thing, then feel free to…

Installment 2 of Copycat week! The first installment was stuffed chicken marsala! Chicken Bellagio is hands-down one of my favorite meals of all time! And I eat a lot, so that should tell you something. This recipe is another one that shows you can have all the comforts and cravings of restaurant meals at home! Courtesy of the Cheesecake Factory. The one bite I stole from one of my fellow bridesmaids K at the bachelorette dinner last weekend was so good I was still craving it two days later! So I tried to kinda make something up as I went. This was still quite tasty, and delicious, though of course not exactly the same. Definitely a keeper though! Pesto cream sauce with sausage medallions tossed with some spaghetti or linguine. Hope you enjoy! You’ll notice in this photo…

This is a hearty and tasty vegetarian pasta option! We actually were introduced to this recipe by a friend of T’s who made it when we visited them to chat about their trip to Iceland! We’re going next month, so we wanted to get the inside scoop since they went only a few months before we will. But T and I were both impressed with how tasty this meal was, so I decided to recreate it at home for myself! Asparagus is not T’s favorite, but he’ll eat it, and more happily so when it’s mixed into things, so that works out…
