Delicious homemade fried chicken nuggets on mini waffles! These savory little bites are perfect topped with maple syrup for a little extra kick of sweet! – – Umg, these are the best things ever! They were a major hit at our Superbowl party! They do require some work, but I promise you they’re worth it! The chicken nugget recipe I used was adapted from Stephanie’s copy-cat chick-fil-a recipe at Stockpiling Moms. I actually happened to not have milk in my fridge, but luckily I keep buttermilk powder in my fridge as a backup, and it worked wonderfully in this recipe. I…

In case any of you all have been around my blog since last new year’s–apparently I like “bars”. Last year was a mimosa bar, and this year we went for a waffle bar! We dressed up and went fancy last year, so we just turned the table and went pajama party this year. Fancy is fun, but pajamas mean I can fall into bed and not worry about getting changed or falling over in heels or flashing someone when I want to sit on the floor. Has anyone else seen these strange savory “jams” that are a thing now? I won’t lie, I still think they’re a little strange. Delicious yes, strange, also yes. But I’m a fan! Especially of anything bacon. And since maple bacon is also a wondrous thing, I thought this was a great combination! It’s pretty simple, and was a hit at our New Year’s Eve party! They went on Brunch Burger Bombs, recipe…

This weekend we had another game night: read D&D session, because we’re cool. =D It’s been a couple months since our last one, because summer always seems to get crazy busy for everyone and we have to find a weekend where all 5 of us are in town and not busy. But at least for you that means–more recipes! We’ve started doing a pot luck so everyone contributes, but since I like cooking I’ll usually make one or two things that I’ve been meaning to try out. Other recipes I’ve made before include mediterranean dip, or caramelized bacon onion dip ,…

I hope that a lot of things on my blog look tasty. But if you’re feeling ambitious, THIS IS THE RECIPE FOR YOU. Note that with all the different components, it’s not really what I would consider an “easy” recipe. It’s definitely less stressful if tackled with a kitchen partner, or having made some of the ingredients in advance. A bunch of components can be made for other recipes earlier in the week, so this can be an awesome clean out the fridge recipe. Make the juicy lucy burger earlier in the week and save up the bacon jam. Make a tasty salami…
