    Everyone needs a classic guacamole recipe on hand, and tipsychocochip is here to deliver!  Silky in texture and livened up with red onion, cumin, and tomatoes, here’s a perfect party recipe for when store-bought just won’t cut it! – – You really can’t get much better than a perfectly silky ripe avocado. It’s funny to me as I write this–I used to hate avocados. They seemed pointless to me, tasteless, and a weird texture. But I’ve come to really enjoy their subtle enhancements to dishes I already love. One of the reasons I even gave avocados a chance was cumin.…

  • Cod with Wasabi Aioli @ bestwithchocolate.com

    hello fresh: cod with wasabi aioli;

    February 1, 2017bestwithchocolate@gmail.com

    I was pleasantly surprised at this meal from Hello Fresh (click here if you’re interested in a discount!).  It’s name was “panko crusted cod”, which I don’t think does the recipe justice.  It’s more interesting than just slapping some panko on cod!  With a little wasabi-lime kick, it’s definitely something I’d consider making again! You can…

    brunch review: fuego cocina y tequileria;

    June 15, 2016bestwithchocolate@gmail.com

    Note: Permanently closed, as of October 16, 2016 So this Sunday I finally got to try brunch at what I lovingly have dubbed “el fuegos” since Fuego Cocina y Tequileria is a bit of a mouthful. Especially after two margaritas and the tipsy has kicked in. And you might be scoffing at me–hah, two margaritas!–but let me tell you, their frozen margaritas (henceforth margs) typically have three shots of tequila in them and couple that with the salt and the amazing taste, and you’ve got yourself a tipsy brunch.  We started off with a round of apps: queso fondido, guacamole,…
