Game day sliders, perfect to feed a crowd but with a gourmet twist! Ground beef sliders, mixed with onions and topped with bacon and blue cheese. You can even make these ahead and then pop into the oven to toast them up before serving! – – It’s been a crazy week! Last weekend I got engaged! Engaged! Here’s a picture of the ring. I drew Tyler a ring too, so he wouldn’t feel left out. But as you can imagine, it’s been a bit of a crazy week! So I’m catching up on some old posts, and I’m sure I’ll go more…

Has anyone else seen these strange savory “jams” that are a thing now? I won’t lie, I still think they’re a little strange. Delicious yes, strange, also yes. But I’m a fan! Especially of anything bacon. And since maple bacon is also a wondrous thing, I thought this was a great combination! I basically just adapted my tomato onion jam (recipe made for the juicy lucy burger) to use bacon instead of tomatoes, and use maple syrup in addition to some water. It’s pretty simple, and was a hit at our New Year’s Eve party! They went on Brunch Burger Bombs, recipe…

So these past few weeks have been crazy, as I’ve mentioned! With the wedding, aka Bucknell reunion since like half the guests were college friends, it was an awesome but completely packed wedding weekend! A whole bunch of the Bucknell crew ended up going to brunch at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant. I’m actually going to dedicate two posts to this, one for the restaurant now, and a future one to the winery! That way I can give both aspects their due. So onto the lunch! We had originally wanted brunch, and I thought they had a brunch menu, but…

I hope that a lot of things on my blog look tasty. But if you’re feeling ambitious, THIS IS THE RECIPE FOR YOU. Note that with all the different components, it’s not really what I would consider an “easy” recipe. It’s definitely less stressful if tackled with a kitchen partner, or having made some of the ingredients in advance. A bunch of components can be made for other recipes earlier in the week, so this can be an awesome clean out the fridge recipe. Make the juicy lucy burger earlier in the week and save up the bacon jam. Make a tasty salami…

This bread is ooey, gooey deliciousness. And I really do mean that, so watch out for some falling dip when you’re stuffing your face! My friends and I had a splat or two on the floor by the time we were done! But it was gobbled up in pretty much no time flat, let me tell you. It really is a quintessential appetizer recipe, and wouldn’t be a horrible pot luck recipe if you had access to a toaster oven, but it’s not really a make-and-carry recipe. It’s definitely better warm and fresh from the oven. We did another “Pokewine”…

This breakfast crescent ring is yumm-ee! It does take a little bit of effort rather early in the morning I’ll admit, with all the different pieces that go together. But it was tasty, that’s for sure! Actually it was tastier than I even expected, but I’m glad it was since it took a little more effort than expected at first glance. The one thing to do next time to make it look even better would be to make the ring a little smaller so that there isn’t quite as large of a hole in the middle. I think that would make…

I have a little story for you all. A young girl graduated college and moved in with one of her friends. Moved to a new state, and in the evenings when they didn’t feel like cooking some nights….they would eat baked potato rounds! Really it’s just a means to get cheese and bacon to our mouths. We were having a snowed-in game night last night with some friends that live within walking distance of our place (to trudge through the snow), and I whipped out this ol’ recipe to relive the past. And it’s always amazing. Though because of the snow, I…
