halloween cocktails to make your party scream;
Halloween is so much fun! And it’s even more fun with Halloween cocktails. I love to get creative with fall–it’s my favorite time of year. Raise your pumpkin if you agree, and get out your pumpkin spice, apple, maple, and chai flavors. And don’t forget chocolate. đ Chocolate’s in season all year round.
A couple of years ago I decided to make some unique Halloween cocktails, and now it’s a tradition! It’s fun to experiment, and Halloween just lends itself to so much creativity. Want a sparkling golden drink that tastes like apple cider but swirls in the light? Want a dark and moody cocktail with a tart lemon flavor and a full-moon ice cube? I’ve got you covered.

Several of these boo-tastic halloween cocktail recipes even have non-alcoholic options. That means friends, family, and kids alike can enjoy these spooky cocktails no matter what their preferences. You can always find a way to make a drink recipe non-alcoholic, but here are my favorites that are easy to make for a crowd either way.
- Liquid Luck – this will always be one of my favorite recipes, because who doesn’t love sparkles? This recipe lends itself easily to making both mocktails and cocktails. The instructions make a batch of the sparkling gold simple syrup that you can add to the cocktail, or pour straight into apple cider or apple juice for a bit of sparkly fun.
- Apple Cider Slush – this recipe is actually non-alcoholic as I shared it. Perfect for those warm fall days before it starts to get cold, this refreshing option is a breeze to make. And if you prefer a little booze to yours? Mix it right in.
- Pheonix Breath – Who doesn’t love a good halloween cocktail that has a pretty gradient? With grenadine and lemon-lime soda, it takes a little patience to get the pretty colors, but it’s so worth it for the final effect. Simply leave out the liquor and you have a show-stopper on your hands!
- Frog Spawn – take this mojito down a notch by skipping the rum. Simply use lemon-lime soda, fresh mint leaves, and kiwi (or your flavor of choice) of popping boba bubbles to make this halloween cocktail one fun mocktail instead.
witch potion bottles;
What’s more fun than serving your drinks in authentic witch potion bottles? Uh, nothing?! So take your party over the top and grab bottles of all shapes and sizes to make it a night to remember. If you’re interested in which cocktails go best in potion bottles then you’ll want to check out my post on witch potion cocktails to get the inside scoop.
I really like to get an assortment of bottles when I serve different halloween cocktails. It’s fun and spooky, and lends to the ambiance. But when you’re serving these up in a party setting, you might want to pair down your options to 2-3 and save yourself some of the stress. After all, you want to enjoy your party too! Here are my favorite options for potion bottle halloween cocktails.
- Phoenix Breath – the gradient looks so lovely, and provided you don’t stir them up too much, you can make these ahead of time and just let them sit.
- Witches’ Brew – I mean you have to have a green, witchy potion right? Take this appletini and serve it up green.
- Elixir of the Night – surprise guests’ taste buds with this dark and moody drink that has surprisingly tropical flavors! It’ll really get them in a party mood.
Note, there are a couple of halloween cocktails that won’t work great in potion bottles. The one I definitely want to mention is the frog spawn kiwi mojito. You could probably get away with it if you found a potion bottle with a wide enough mouth, but I honestly wouldn’t recommend it. Because it’s got boba pearls in it, they could block the spout to drink, or get stuck in the bottle, and no one wants to fish them out at the afterparty.
