    Your one-stop-shop for yummy cookies with that splash of gourmet!  Check out pudding sprinkle cookies and cake batter chocolate chip cookies for some other gourmet takes! These maple sugar cookies came out fabulous, with no more than a hint of maple, though you could definitely taste it, which is perfect for me. Sometimes if not done properly, I find maple syrup cloyingly sweet. Do make sure you’re using that real stuff instead of the stuff that is basically corn syrup with some brown tint.     Sometimes I’m skeptical of advertised “softbatch” cookies, because I’ve had hit or miss experiences with whether they actually turn out as advertised.  This recipe really was a good softbatch cookie recipe though!  They weren’t quite as puffy as I usually prefer, but they were soft, and definitely a good chewy.     This recipe comes from a random late-night craving!  It’s an amaaaazingly simple recipe and if you’re going to eat pancakes anyway, why not spruce up those plain jane pancakes with some cake batter?  Everything is better with cake batter.  And make sure you reserve some sprinkles for topping!  Gotta make sure there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that these are cake batter!  And the only way to do that is with sprinkles obviously.     In addition to banana bread, here’s another way-past-ripe bananas recipe to add to your repertoire!  Though you do need a doughnut pan for these.  I prefer baked doughnuts since they’re “healthier”, but more so because they don’t involve heating up oil and frying things.  I always feel like I’m being wasteful with the leftover oil, and besides, it also makes my house smell of oil for like a month.  (I might be exaggerating a leeeeetle.)     If your first thought is that these look a lot like my previous cake batter chocolate chip cookies, you would be right!  The differences are subtle, but they are different.  For one, the cake batter chocolate chip cookies are quite a bit more like chocolate chip cookies than these, which I would compare more to extra vanilla-y sugar cookies.  However, they definitely do look quite similar, especially with the sprinkles throughout the cookie dough.  Give both recipes a whirl, and let me know how they compare!  (Yes, I am telling you to eat more cookies.)   I’d definitely throw this recipe in…
