black & blue sliders;
Game day sliders, perfect to feed a crowd but with a gourmet twist! Ground beef sliders, mixed with onions and topped with bacon and blue cheese. You can even make these ahead and then pop into the oven to toast them up before serving!

It’s been a crazy week! Last weekend I got engaged! Engaged! Here’s a picture of the ring. I drew Tyler a ring too, so he wouldn’t feel left out. But as you can imagine, it’s been a bit of a crazy week! So I’m catching up on some old posts, and I’m sure I’ll go more into details soon when I can get my thoughts together!
So that means onto bacon. Ground beef. Blue cheese. Do I have your attention yet? Good, now go make these black & blue sliders! They really are perfect for game day or parties, because you can make them ahead, cover them, and then pop them into the oven just before the party starts. My kinda party recipe!
A Black & Blue burger is one of my go-tos when I’m craving a burger. I just love the way the tangy blue cheese is a kick to your pallet, tips a fairly typical burger toward the gourmet side of things, and it’s not even really particularly complicated. Plus, who doesn’t love bacon on their burger?
The basic recipe is fairly adaptable, perfect to suit your tastes. Make the filling beforehand and construct the sliders before your party, then cover, and pop into the oven when people start arriving! If you’re looking for other suggestions, I’ve also made these roast beef horseradish party sliders (tipsychocochip recipe) that were a huge hit!
Let me know what you think of these! Or if you make any substitutions, I’d love to hear them in the comments below!
