A perfect game day snack, timely for the weekend’s Superbowl LI! Baked wings with a satisfying crispy skin, and glazed in a garlic parmesan butter sauce, sure to keep you coming back for more! – – Happy sportsball this weekend!  This year I’m just here for the food.  Not particularly invested in the teams this particular Superbowl LI (though if you’re asking, against the Pats).  Good thing I’ve got these babies to keep me company!  Garlic Parmesan Wings.  Do you get any better than these?  Sure!  Whip up these babies with a side of wings and more wings!  Miso glazed…

Buttery, garlic shrimp over a bed of buttery garlic pasta!  And this is even a fairly simple recipe!  Perfect for when you need to throw together a meal for the family when you’re prepping and running around to New Year’s parties!  I’d been craving shrimp scampi for some reason recently, so when I snagged some shrimp at the grocery this was my go-to! Usually, I don’t think of shrimp scampi as being spicy, but that little hint of a kick from the red pepper flakes was kinda cool in this recipe!  If spice isn’t your thing, then feel free to…

Addicting.  I’m tempted to just leave it at that. This is a festive cookie if ever I did see one!  Holiday baking, here I come!  These are the perfect chewy cookie, and there’s a hint of peppermint in the actual cookie, reinforced by that slight crunch of crushed peppermint.  But the peppermint is mild, and not overpowering, and because of that it keeps you going back for more!  You can use whatever kind of candy canes you want–peppermint or spearmint, and I bet even the fruity ones would be a cute surprise!  Plus there’s all those wacky candy cane flavors…

These little pillow puffs are deeelicious!  But they do take a long time!  For those of you who have ever tried to make gnocchi before, I’ll bet you already know this.  But somehow I always manage to forget, especially because the ingredient list is so minimal, I think they’re a breeze to make!  But when you boil them in multiple batches, and run out of space on your cutting board to continue rolling and cutting them up, it gets a little tedious and you remember just how long they take to make. So these bad boys will take you close to an…

This is one of my favorite go-to party recipes!  It’s super adaptable, perfectly cheesy, tasty, and easy to throw together a bit before a party. I made this on the menu for my 25th birthday party this weekend!  In spite of turning a quarter century old, we brought in the next age of my life with exactly what we always do–some drinks and games!  And of course some yummy munchies! On the menu included this pull apart bread, roast beef horseradish party sandwiches, and corn salsa, the last brought by my good friend K!  It was super tasty and a…

Cooooookies in bar form!  My desire to make this recipe really came from the fact that peanut butter cups were on sale, and I loooove me some fresh PB cups.  Have you ever had the really old PB cups that are like dried out and crumbly?  It’s not the same.  Have you ever had fresh off the Hershey’s press PB cups?  I actually have, and they’re AMAZING.  The peanut butter is creamier and as sugary as ever, and did I mention–it’s amazing?  I did a summer program called Institute of Leadership, Technology, and Management (ILTM) my junior year of college, and got…

One of those impromptu date nights where we ended up cuddled on the floor watching Castle and feeling really full. The best kind of night. =) And the star of the night was pecan crusted rainbow trout! It all stemmed from high fish prices at the grocery store–I was actually looking for cod and thinking about fish and chips. But everything was more expensive, and I saw the rainbow trout and just had to buy it on my way out…

This recipe is exactly what it sounds like!  Pizza dip (though I will say, a little bit more of a white pizza), surrounded by soft and chewy garlic knots!  Definitely turn up the garlic on those garlic knots too.  Sometimes if I’m feeling extra-garlicky I will add a few pinches of garlic powder and a few pinches of onion powder to the butter mix. My only concern about this recipe is that it’s not quite enough to share with a large party of people.  I wanted to make it for a hangout we’re doing this weekend with around 20 people, but with only…

This was actually the first time that I’ve made risotto on my own!  This was my last roommate’s go-to recipe when she wanted to cook, and let me tell you, it’s amazing.  It does take a little bit of a time investment, but some of my favorite memories from when we lived together were us chatting in the kitchen over a pot of risotto.  We also usually had glasses of wine in our hands.  I mean you need wine for the recipe, so obviously the natural extension was to sip on a glass!  I definitely recommend that; maybe I should add…

This is an awesome sidekick to a meal!  It does take a long time, but not a ton of effort, just the checking every 15 minutes and flipping.  Most of the work is upfront, and also works out well for a helper to make when you’re preoccupied with the main dish.  Holy butter!  No literally, this is what happened when I microwaved the butter…I thought it was amusing so I took a photo, XD. This recipe was adapted from Spicy Southern Kitchen’s melting potatoes recipe, and let me tell you, they really are “melting”!  The chicken broth gives them a full whallop…
