A satisfying crunchy, buttery, and salty snack mix of chex, pretzels, nuts, and more. Customize with your favorite add-ins or make yourself a cheesy mix with these two different ways to make homemade chex mix!
In a large bowl add dry snack mix: 3 cups corn chex, 3 cups rice chex, and 3 cups wheat chex, 1 cup nuts, and 1 cup pretzels. If using bagel chips or cheese crackers, add those as well. (Don't add parmesan cheese crisps at this time.)
In a small microwavable bowl, add 6 Tbsp butter and microwave on high ~40 seconds or until melted. Pour over cereal mixture, and toss until evenly coated.
classic chex mix;
Working quickly, add 1 tsp garlic powder and ½ tsp onion powder and toss to coat thoroughly.
cheesy chex mix;
Add in 3 Tbsp of cheese mix and toss to coat evenly.

Spread the mixture on a lined baking sheet and bake at 300°F for 8-10 minutes or until toasted and nutty. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. If using parmesan cheese crisps, add them before serving.

Try other savory add-ins like: cheerios, honey roasted peanuts, parmesan gold fish, pumpkin seeds, funyuns, or beef jerky to spruce up your mix!Or take it sweet with: M&Ms, or Reese's Pieces, shredded coconut, chocolate coated almonds, dried fruit, honey nut cheerios, graham crackers, or cinnamon sugar pita chips!
